About Matamoros, Mexico

Matamoros, Mexico is our most popular mission trip destination. The Gateway, AIM’s center for outreach in Mexico, is here.
Although it’s only a few miles south of the border of Texas, you don’t have to go any farther than Matamoros to find a world of poverty and need.

Your team will work in local neighborhoods and farming communities to help families who are poor materially and spiritually. Your day will be divided between construction, evangelism, prayer, and children’s ministries.

Our goal is to strengthen local churches and ministries. We’ll work alongside our Mexican brothers and sisters to change Matamoros for Christ. See the video below for more details, and feel free to share it with others.

  1. Thanks for the information you provide for Matamoros! I am coming august 1, 2009 and I am so excited!

  2. It’s so great to see footage from a place I’ve come to absolutely LOVE!! As a Youth Pastor, I’ve taken my teens to Matamoros 6 times! It has always been the highlight of my entire ministry calendar!

    The things that God has done in and through the lives of my kids has been profound. While we have done other retreats, conferences, and mission projects, serving in Matamoros has always been the most life shaping event of the year.

    As for the Adventures in Missions staff, they do a phenomenal job of organizing and leading your team. We have never had an issue with their staff, facilities or equipment in 6 trips. Could something big or small happen? Absolutely! But, we’ve seen them be very professional and caring even when the unexpected happens.

    Whether you are a youth pastor, teen, or parent, you should try AIM’s trip to Matamoros at least once in your lifetime!
    We can’t wait to go back next summer!!
    Will =)
