Stories from the Mission Trip Participants

Here are some stories and praises from participants in Mexico:

WOW! God is at work in Matamoros! Groups from Tennesse, Delaware, Florida and Texas have joined together to minister.  Yesterday and today have been spent in Libertad conducting medical clinics, visiting homes, handing out water and doing VBS activities.  Doctors from Florida were able to see over 100 people at the clinic.  Many grateful moms received vitamins and medicine for themselves and their kids.

Another person reports:

Yesterday, two groups visited a hospital where people were waiting outside to be admitted or to visit family.  We were able to pass out water to them and pray for their needs. Other groups visited homes and had opportunities to meet spiritual and physical needs.

Finally, a quick recap on the mission trip so far:

This week has started out great; everyone got here safely and in the first two days of ministry, we have seen God do amazing things!

On Sunday the groups led a church service, served dinner at three different churches, and got to know the people they would be serving in the community.

  1. I was one of the two physicians who had the blessed opportunity to serve this past week in Matamoros. There are no words in English or Espanol that can explain the experience that each individual and group had in Matamoros.
I implore any group that is “afraid” to cross the border to CROSS the BORDER. You will blessed ten thousand fold for 7 days that you will never experience anywhere else.

The people of Mexico are suffering from the scares (scars) of flu, cartel, etc. I NEVER was afraid – NEVER!!

Please pray and ask if you are being called to travel “south of the border”. I am sure that many are!

  2. This week has been amazing. We are here, “we” being 11 youth and 7 adults, from Wyoming, Delaware. I have been overwhelmed by the faith, generosity, and kindness of the people we have come to serve. We have given cups of cold water in Jesus’ Name, swept floors, visited hospitals and homes, prayed for healing, introduced people to Jesus, played, taught, and sang with children, and we have been taught by some local residents whose faith in God is incredible. I praise God for His leading us to AIM, and to Mexico.
