Be Encouraged!

This is another update from a brother serving here in the midst of the people of Matamoros. Oscar has been continuing to be faithful to following and obeying Christ and this is an email he recently sent me:

God used me once more today and has been using me almost every day
giving out biblical tracts in the taxi buses (peseras). You get on
and they will take you anywhere in the city. Last Friday on my way to a church service, I got in a taxi bus (pesera) and there were these two ladies fighting. More or less it was a lady with her small boy
fighting with another lady inside the pesera. She was trying to sit down with her
son but did not fit in the seat becasue there was another woman who wanted to sit down also. Then the bus driver said in a lowed voice “Please if there´s a man who could stand so this woman may sit down.” They both sat down and continued to fight
with their words, so then I stepped in but with the Bible
and said “this Bible says that we shouldn´t fight but we should love
one another.” So then I started to give out tracts to every body in there
including the lady that continued saying bad words to the other lady. She then mentioned that she was Catholic and I said “Glory to God” but I insisted for her
to accept the tract. She said no, so then I got off and continued
giving out tracts on the streets and preaching. Please continue to pray for me because I just love preaching
the Word of God in my home town. May God continue blessing you,your
family and your ministry.

As Oscar continues in his ministry he has asked us here on staff to pray for some of our new brothers and sisters in Christ. These people came to faith through Oscar’s preaching and we would do well to lift them up…

May you and I begin to embody and pray for the courage and wisdom to proclaim the Word like Oscar. May you continue to prepare your hearts to continue the work that Christ is doing down here.
